USE WHITE VINEGAR

Use a cotton swab to wipe down your nails with white vinegar before applying basecoat. This removes any product buildup or natural oils on your nail beds that could create a barrier between the polish. Once your nails dry, apply basecoat.

USE CUTICLE OIL

Don't soak your nails, because it causes nails to retain water and expand.  Always use cuticle oil instead.

PAINT THE EDGE OF YOUR NAILS

Be sure to paint the basecoat, and topcoat around the edge of your nails to ensure your entire nail is sealed.

USE A GOOD BASE COAT

A good base coat protects your nails from staining and peeling, and it will give you a more even texture.

APPLY A TOP COAT

Be sure to apply a top coat as your last step.  A top coat is designed to seal in the nail polish and leave your nails with a beautiful shine.

USE COOL AIR TO DRY NAILS

Use your blow dryer on its cool setting or a fan.  Dipping fingertips in ice water for a minute or two also aids drying.
